Technology PR blogger goes commando

Posted by paulstallard on October 6, 2008

You will have to excuse the pun in the headline but I just couldn’t resist it.  After my disaster on Sunday, when I failed to get to the start line on time for the Run to the Beat half at the O2, I now have five other colleagues to help ensure I get to the event on time this weekend.

The Berkeley PR team is hoping to prove that working in technology PR isn’t all glamour and have signed up to participate in the Commando Challenge this weekend.

We will be running seven miles through bogs, rivers and submerged concrete cylinders – not to mention tackling the fearsome sheep dip.  It will come as no surprise to learn that we’re not doing this purely for the good of our own health. We’ll be raising money for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Help for Heroes. We’d really appreciate your donation – however big or small – for these worthy causes. If you wish to donate online, we you may do so at our Just Giving Page.   If you do sponsor us please do leave a message and I will let you know how we get on next week.  Hopefully we will be gloating after beating Phil and his team …… I have heard on the grape vine that they are so scared of us that they are having to replace PR staff with professional athletes :o )
